Analyzing the Secret of the Great Seal: A Review of Thomas Horn's Apollyon Rising 2012

For those of you who are having as difficult a time as I did in obtaining a copy of Apollyon Rising 2012, here is a quick synopsis (spoilers ahead!)

First, let me say that whatever criticisms I have of this book, it is a great introduction for the "unawakened" or skeptical. It would especially be useful for "awakening" Christians to the reality of aliens, the NWO, Freemasonry and 2012. It is definitely written for Christians who are not conspiracy savvy, people who still think that Freemasons are just those old guys who help burn victims and that America has always been a Christian nation---myself, I didn't find a whole lot of information that I hadn't already heard about, but that doesn't detract from it's value as a good reference/apologetic book.

In the grand tradition of "partial disclosure", much is revealed, but only for the purpose of further deception. While Mr. Horn exposes the realities behind the conspiracies, he holds back some key information. Specifically, he doesn't mention the importance of the British Royal family or Sumeria. That's because he wants to distract Christians from Prince William (possible Antichrist?), and instead have them focus on someone else: Barack Obama. I don't have time to back up my claim with footnotes, but I very distinctly got the impression that Mr. Horn was leading his (presumably) Christian audience to see Obama as the Antichrist. He does devote quite a bit of ink to him, without making any specific accusations. (For more about Obama as the an antichrist scapegoat, see my post "What is the Anti-Anti Christ?".) Although he overlooks Prince William, to his credit, he does mention Benjamin Creme's Maitreia/Maitreya briefly on page 86. IMHO both William and Maitreya are good candidates for either the Antichrist or False Prophet.

But you want to know the secret of the Great Seal right? What is this new information that Mr. Horn claims to have discovered? That Apollo, Nimrod, Horus, Apollo and Lucifer are all the same entity, and that he will be coming Earth and "capping the pyramid" within in the next five years. It's all summed up in two diagrams:

First is the Great Seal itself, which he has determined aligns with the Mayan calendar to give the years 2012 and 2016. The 13 layers of the pyramid represent 13 periods of time, beginning with 1776 at the bottom. Starting at 1776, add 13 baktuns, each with 19.7 years in it, to get 2012 C.E. He also explains that "using the Gregorian 20-year cycle produces the dates 1776-2016" (pg. 272). He connects these two years with the Biblical Tribulation, although he is unsure exactly how the timeline of the prophet Daniel fits with these two dates.

On to the second secret: the First Degree Masonic tracing board also points to 2012. Mr. Horn cites Robert Lomas' site with the image of the tracing board show below. Here is the web address:

Where is the dark rift?

Mr. Horn explains that the seven stars near the Moon represent the Pleiades. He suggests that the Sun on the upper left corner is sitting on the "dark rift" of the Milky Way, Xibalba to the Mayans. "This is the arrangement that will happen when the Mayan long Count Calendar concludes and the winter solstice sun aligns with the dark rift" in 2012 (page 277). So he concludes that the tracing board points to 2012.
Detail from page 277
Except that there is no indication on the tracing board that the Sun is sitting in a "dark rift". The original website uses exactly the same image, and I see nothing in the image that could be interpreted as a "dark rift" or Xibalba. There is no explanation of why the stars of the Pleiades are connected by a line to Sirius. The interpretation does not fit the image in my opinion. However, Mr. Horn uses this as a key piece of evidence for his dates of 2012/2016.

Well, now you know the secrets of Apollyon Rising 2012. But I would still recommend the book for a good read.

As for Thomas Horn, is he one of the many agents of deception? In my opinion, he raised red flags all over the place, not so much for what he said (Obama is the anti-christ! The bible is literal truth!) as for what he didn't say (the Annunaki, Sumeria and the Royal Family were left out). And call me a hippie, but that guy has BAD fucking vibes. Look at those eyebrows. Have you ever seen a more terrifying pair? Is he trying to look like a Bond villain? I just can't trust anyone who looks that evil.
